DL Guide - Guided Tours
Disneyland offers four guided tours - one for Disneyland novices, one for those wishing to delve deeper into Disneyland,a private tour and a holiday tour.
The Red Carpet Experience.
A Walk in Walt's Footsteps
A tour of the Disneyland that Walt Disney knew. This tour was created for the guest who's already familiar with the Park and is interested in some of its history and little details. Included in the tour are:
- A peek into the lobby of Club 33
- A visit to The Enchanted Tiki Room prior to a show to get a close-up look at the show and its history
- A "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" pin
- Lunch on the balcony of the Disney Gallery
Along the way your tour guide will tell stories about Disneyland and Walt Disney himself. The price for the tour is $49 per person (all ages). The price does not include park admission. It may be booked up to 30 days in advance. The tour lasts approximately 3 and a half hours. There is a limit of 15 guests per tour. For reservations, call 714-781-4400. For more information about this and other Disneyland tours, call 714-817-2299.
Holiday Time at Disneyland
The team at Guest Relations has created a delightful holiday experience with
their guided tour "Holiday Time at Disneyland". During the tour, which lasts
around 2 hours, you're treated to combination of stories about the history of Disneyland
with a particular focus on Walt Disney's vision and stories of the various holiday
traditions and decorations that can be found through the Park. Questions, guest input and
personal anecdotes are encouraged throughout the tour. Guests will also be treated to the
it's a small world holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday attractions via FastPass access
(pending availability and time permitting). Also included in the tour is a reserved
viewing area for Disneyland's "A Christmas Fantasy" Parade along with a holiday
treat to enjoy during the parade. For more information about this and other
Disneyland tours, call 714-817-2299.
The tour only runs in the holiday season.

I've taken the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour twice. Once in 1998 in it's old version, and again in 2003 with the Enchanted Tiki Room and Club 33 addition. It's a wonderful, highly recommended tour! Would really be interested in the steam train tour. Let me know if this happens before we come in September. None really. I am planning for it for the first time in my life from Uganda, Africa.Just read about it on internet and in story books.Except the costs are quite high for me. will see. I took the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour years ago (I think it was in 1999) and it was fun. It is a good thing to do on the last day you're in the park, when you've gone on most the rides you want to and want to learn things about the park. I don't know if the tour has changed much since I last saw it, but I thought it was well worth it. The tour does dake a few hours, so don't do it if you want to spend that time on rides. One time i saw Lucy from 7th Heaven at Disneyland and she had a guided tour. I want one, and some goofy water. I have also taken the new Red Carpet Tour. It's great since it's currently the only one to visit both parks. If you luck out and have a small group of like 5, you can expect some nice bonuses! The Cast Members on all tours are very nice and extremely helpful.
