HOUSE OF BLUES TO OPEN AT THE DISNEYLAND RESORT

Famed Nigbtclub/Restaurant Venue Slated for Spring 2001 Opening at Downtown Disney

LOS ANGELES - October 13, 1999 - HOB Entertainment, Inc. continues its path of steady growth with the scheduled opening of House of Blues in Anaheim, California in spring 2001. The famed nightclub/restaurant venue will be part of Downtown Disney, the retail, dining and entertainment center, scheduled to open in 2001 as part of the new development at The Disneyland Resort.

The new 18,000-square foot House of Blues-Downtown Disney will feature a live music venue accommodating approximately 1,000 people and a 250-seat restaurant. The music, as at all House of Blues venues, will feature a wide variety of genres encompassing everything from rock, R&B, Latin, reggae, hip-hop, and, of course, blues.

The 250-seat House of Blues Restaurant, which will be located adjacent to the music hall and House of Blues Company Store, will feature an open-air kitchen serving fresh rotisserie items and an exciting array of Delta-inspired cuisine. From the classic "Elwood" sandwich and Memphis-style ribs to Cedar Plank Salmon with Watercress-Jicama Salad and Voodoo Shrimp served with Rosemary Combread, the menu will satisfy all tastes.

An extension of the award-winning House of Blues Restaurant is its world-renowned Sunday Gospel Brunch. This hand-clapping, foot-stomping experience will feature the best in exciting and uplifting Gospel performances by local and national touring gospel groups, while offering an "all-you-can-eat" southern-style buffet.

An integral part of House of Blues and its mission is its commitment to community. To that end, The International House of Blues Foundation (IHOBF) was created to celebrate the legacy of the blues through educational outreach programs and to help bring music and art back to public schools. IHOBF programs presently exist at HOB venues in Cambridge, MA; New Orleans, LA; Los Angeles, CA; Chicago, IL; and Las Vegas, NV.

According to Greg Trojan, President and CEO of HOB Entertainment, Inc., "We are excited to be partnering once again with Disney. House of Blues at Downtown Disney in Orlando, Florida is tremendously successful and we expect the same great performance from our new Disneyland venue."

Located in the heart of The Disneyland Resort, Downtown Disney will be an entertainment mecca of themed shopping, dining, nightclubs and other entertainment venues, all within walking distance for guests, conventioneers and local residents. Downtown Disney will become a unique gathering place, connecting two theme parks--the all-new Disney's California Adventure and Disneyland-- along with The Disneyland Resort Hotels.
