WDCC to world premiere Cinderella merchandise
Cinderella's Royal 50th Anniversary
Celebration At Disneyland Represents Retail World Premiere of All-New Cinderella Scene
From the Walt Disney Classics Collection
Happily Ever After Moment Debuts at Event on February 12
The Walt Disney Classics Collection captures the most memorable happily ever after moment in fairytale history the glass slipper scene from Walt Disney's classic animated film Cinderella. The all-new scene will debut at Cinderella's Royal 50th Anniversary Celebration at the Disneyland Hotel on February 12 (the event is a complete sell-out, no more tickets are available). The five-piece scene recreates the moment when Cinderella quietly pulls the glass slipper from her apron pocket and reveals to all that she was the beautiful stranger who danced with the Prince at the ball.
In honor of the film's 50th anniversary, each sculpture in the scene will bear a backstamp commemorating the anniversary. However, 650 special sets within the open-edition scene will feature a distinctive backstamp highlighting the film's original release date and a quote from the film ( "We Must Proceed with the Fitting"). Only 650 of these sets featuring the distinctive backstamp will be available worldwide. 210 of these sets will be available at the event on February 12. WDCC Gold Circle dealers will receive two of these distinctive backstamp sets per location.
Renowned sculptor Kent Melton studied original model sheets
to recreate each character in rich detail. The hand-crafted, hand-painted porcelain
sculpture scene includes: Cinderella ($225), Lady Tremaine / ($165), the jealous Drizella
/ Stepsister ($145) and Anastasia / Stepsister ($145) and the Grand Duke ($150).
As an exclusive benefit, members of the popular Walt Disney Collectors Society will also
have an opportunity to complete the scene with one additional sculpture - - the Royal
Footman ($125), carrying a real glass slipper on a pillow.

A hallmark of the Walt Disney Classics Collection is its attention to detail and the new Cinderella scene is a perfect example. Real glass slippers appear in the Grand Duke's hand and on the Footman's pillow, giving Walt Disney Collectors Society members the chance to own a complete pair of glass slippers. Not even Cinderella could claim that honor. Lady Tremaine holds a bronze staff and wears a genuine green agate stone in her gold-painted brooch, while Cinderella sits on a porcelain chair plussed with bronze and pewter arms and legs.
"Dream Waltz" Makes Debut At Cinderella's Royal 50th Anniversary Celebration
For the first time in its history, Walt Disney Art Classics is releasing a collection of one-of-a-kind hand-painted cels which re-animates an entire scene from the classic film. Each cel in the edition is a hand-painted original, created in the same way that Disney artists created the scene from Cinderella, back in 1950. Each piece is set against a new hand-painted watercolor background based on the original background from the film. Each piece is also distinctly numbered to note its uniqueness. Only 145 cels comprise this special offering.
