Living the Disney Life
Catching Up - Part 2

As mentioned in the last column The Disney Life has been on a bit of a hiatus because of the media events of late January and a subsequent vacation. In the last column I gave you my personal highlights from the media event. In this column I'm going to talk about my absolute favorite part of Disney - the Disney Cruise Lines.

From January 27 - Feb 3 Rebekah and I along with some family and friends took the Western Caribbean cruise aboard the Disney Magic. This was our second cruise - both being Disney. For big Disney fans like us, cruise is the ultimate Disney experience. You're surrounded by Disney at all times. The service is beyond amazing - even by Disney standards. The whole experience is very family friendly which appeals to us. Even the "adult" activities - while not appropriate for youngsters - is pretty tame. I can't recommend the experience highly enough. I only wish I hadn't waited until 2006 to try.

So for this column I thought I'd give you some of my favorite cruise pictures along with some comments. The pictures are presented in chronological order.

Saturday, 11:46a: There it is! What a happy moment on a Saturday morning. Spotting the Disney Magic in the distance knowing that's your home for the next seven days!

Saturday: 12:23a: Standing in line to board. Sure, we could skip the line and walk up the center, but then we'd miss the picture moment. And that's an essential part of any cruise.

Saturday, 5:19p: Sailing out of port. I love to stand in the front of the boat (most people are mid-ship watching the Sail Away party so there's usually room up here). It's very windy! Lots of people on the shore wave good bye.
