||Grew up in Buena Park, a couple miles south of Knott's Berry Farm, and 6 miles west of Disneyland. With these 2 world famous theme parks in my backyard (literally) ... it's no surprise the theme park aficionado I am today. The whistle of the Calico Railroad trains at Knott's could always be heard from my front door, and the louder shells Disneyland use to use for it's fireworks shows were always a treat, as well as a visual one, just a 30 foot walk from my front door.
I've been to mostly every theme park in Southern CA. Watched Universal Studios & Magic Mountain slowly change from the early 70s to the present. Then there are the places that exist only in memory today: Japanese Deer Park, Marineland, Lion Country Safari, Bush Gardens, Long Beach Pike, and the Alligator Farm next door to Knott's.
Been to WDW twice (1992 & 1995), DL more times than I can count, and one World's Fair (Vancouver 1986).
