As seems to be the pattern as of late, Magic Kingdom rolled out a “new” street party and also closed another piece of entertainment.
The Move it! Shake it! Dance and Play it! takes the nearly 5 year old Move it! Shake it! Celebrate it! Street Party, changed around the characters by adding Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald as the main focus.
One of the most major addition to the street party is the interactive element that Walt Disney World have been pushing toward. As you watch the video you will hear “Selfie” more than you probably have ever heard before as the MC encourages guest to tweet/instagram photos with the #MoveItShakeItPics. Those photos are shown as part of the final part of the street party. They also added an “instant request” song where guests were encouraged to cheer for their choice of three songs they want to hear.
And, as has become the norm in the WDW parks, with each new entertainment offering something has to close, and that offering was the Giggle Gang. The Giggle Gang, a 3 clown troupe consisting of Chuckles Buffoon McMonkeyshine III, Whinny Horselaugh, and Snort, started with the Storybook Circus area of New Fantasyland 2 years ago. They would perform different shows throughout the day that were mostly slapstick based.
But as with all clown based shows they must take their final bow and hang up the red nose.
