We are coming towards to the end of Christmas 2014 at the Tokyo Disney Resort. So now is a perfect time to take a look back on this years event and offer a small preview for Christmas 2015, which already we have some news to share. Special thanks to Yuriko for her photos.

Christmas Fantasy at Tokyo Disneyland this year, saw the return of the popular Santa Village Parade. The Parade remains mostly unchanged with a few exceptions. The biggest being a new soundtrack. Which is a new version of the classic Christmas song “Santa Claus is coming to town”. This is sadly the final year for the Santa Village Parade and in 2015, a new Christmas Parade will debut. Which promises to feature Characters only found during this season.

Decorations around the Plaza area in front of the Castle have been scaled back this way in a dramatic way to provide better viewing for the nightly Castle projection show “Once Upon A Time”. This has resulted in many of the new decorations and photo opportunities moving over to the entrance.

The Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights has received a Holiday makeover with minor alterations. Plus the nightly fireworks show Starbright Christmas returns to both Parks. Attractions overlays to the Country Bears, Haunted Mansion and It’s A Small World complete a solid line up of offerings for Tokyo Disneyland. We are also hearing that this might be the final year for It’s A Small World’s Holiday. Future changes coming to Fantasyland might prevent this popular festive tradition from coming back in 2015.

Over at Tokyo DisneySea, Christmas Wishes has been very busy event for the Park. Advance tickets sales for several Weekend dates were suspended.

Holiday Greetings from the Seven Ports was the main entertainment for this year. It was also the first time since before the opening of Toy Story Mania that the Park has used the American Waterfront Park as a show venue.

Which features a beautiful projected Christmas Tree and Mickey and all his friends on float barges.

Next year we have been promised a brand new show for the Mediterranean Harbor. Dates if you are planning to attend the Tokyo Disney Resort during Christmas are from the 9th of November to the 25th of December 2015. This is our last update for this year on the Tokyo Disney Resort. But we are hoping to provide even more coverage in 2015. But for now I’d like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
