Longhorn Network Debuts New Ad Campaign, "All the Live Long Day"

Tour-Ricky

Longhorn Network, ESPN’s 24-hour network devoted to The University of Texas, is launching a new brand campaign today with four new spots.

Titled “All The Live Long Day,” the campaign personifies the spirit of Longhorn Network, showcasing the network’s metaphorical home and Transmitter Tower — dubbed The 41st Acre — as the beacon for Texas Sports, bringing together Longhorn fans, spirit and legends. UT campus is affectionately nicknamed “The 40 Acres,” which is a historical reference to the number of acres – forty – originally allotted for the university.

Filmed in the picturesque hill country right outside of Austin, the spots star Longhorn Legends Earl Campbell, T.J. Ford, Cat Osterman, Sanya Richards-Ross, Jordan Shipley, Ricky Williams, Vince Young as well as Texas Baseball coach Augie Garrido.  Additionally, the spots include UT spirit icons the Longhorn Band, mascot Hook ‘Em, Bevo with the Silver Spurs, Smokey the Cannon with the Texas Cowboys, Cheer and Pom, along with Austin-based country singer Dale Watson. A group of lucky Texas fans made The 41st Acre complete.

A team of UT alumni from Longhorn Network and Austin-based creative agency Preacher created the campaign, and collaborated with fellow Longhorns to direct the commercials.

Spots debuting today include:

1. Tour – featuring Ricky Williams and Vince Young

2. Campfire – featuring Austin musician Dale Watson and Jordan Shipley

3. Poem – featuring Ricky Williams

4. Too Good – featuring T.J. Ford

Four additional spots to debut in the coming weeks.
