ESPN Adds MLB Postseason Impact Games

ESPN announced today it has added two additional Major League Baseball Postseason Impact Games to its schedule. On Tuesday, September 23, Nelson Cruz and the Baltimore Orioles will visit Derek Jeter and the New York Yankees at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. The Orioles have clinched the American League East and are jockeying for home field advantage, while the Yankees are still alive in the AL Wild Card hunt. Jon Sciambi will provide commentary with analyst Rick Sutcliffe and reporter Doug Glanville. This will be a full national telecast.

On Wednesday, September 24, Buster Posey and the San Francisco Giants will visit Yasiel Puig and the Los Angeles Dodgers on ESPN at 10 p.m. The Giants are currently tied for the NL Wild Card lead, while the Dodgers are looking to clinch the NL West. The Sunday Night Baseball crew – Dan Shulman, analysts John Kruk and Curt Schilling, and reporter Buster Olney – will call the action. This will also be a full national telecast. Both Postseason Impact Games will be available via WatchESPN.

ESPN’s Postseason Impact Games are a highlight under the company’s new multiplatform rights agreement with Major League Baseball, which went into effect this season.
