Prior to the case of the Jack Kirby Estate’s copyright case against Marvel going into conference at the Supreme Court, both sides have settled their differences. They released a joint statement:
Marvel and the family of Jack Kirby have amicably resolved their legal disputes, and are looking forward to advancing their shared goal of honoring Mr. Kirby’s significant role in Marvel’s history.
This settlement opens the door to Jack Kirby and Stan Lee being named Disney Legends at the next D23 Expo.
