The next Summer 2015 Marvel teaser implies the end of the Ultimate Universe in the Summer of 2015. The line was launched in 2000 and featured updated origins for many classic Marvel characters. Some aspects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe were inspired by the Ultimate Universe stories.
