Social Review Roundup: "Snow White"

While the film's pre-release has been covered in controversy, can the actual movie rise above the preemptive chatter?

Even amidst a wall of controversy and a shrunk down premiere, the first social reactions have slowly been dropping for Disney’s upcoming live-action film Snow White.

While many expected a lesser film as the media has ravenously compiled all the film’s many “controversial" moments chronologically, the social response seems to be filled with surprise and delight.

Those who have seen the film thus far are highlighting Rachel Zegler’s performance as Snow White and her ability to perfectly encapsulate the princess.

Many are also citing this as one of the best of Disney’s live-action remakes.

Critiques have been offered up, however. Some cite the dwarves as an odd choice, while others are trying to forget Gal Gadot’s performance as the Evil Queen all together.

We’ll see just how successful Snow White will be with moviegoers when it opens Friday, March 21st exclusively in theaters.
