“20/20” True Crime Limited Series “Bad Romance” Returns for Second Season on ABC
The second season kicks off with “No Tomorrow” on Tuesday March 25th.
The 20/20 true crime limited series, Bad Romance, is returning to ABC later this month for a second season of eight shocking stories of love-turned-lethal.
What’s Happening:
- ABC News contributor and ESPN analyst Ryan Smith returns as host of the eight-episode 20/20 series, Bad Romance.
- The new season delves into the harrowing stories of individuals who lost their lives at the hands of those who once vowed to love them forever and examines the devastating consequences of obsession and manipulation, exposing the dark side of love.
- Each episode of Bad Romance will reveal surprising and disturbing romance, featuring interviews with individuals involved in some of the most shocking, deadly and obsessive love stories and twisted obsessions.
- The first episode of the season is “No Tomorrow," the story of a bride-to-be whose life was tragically cut short just days before her wedding. Just eight days before her big day, Laura Grillo was found murdered on her kitchen floor with a single gunshot wound to her head.
- Suspicion is placed on Laura’s fiancé, John Makris, a contractor who was seen on a security camera across town in a Home Depot during the time when Laura was killed. As authorities dug deeper, they uncovered a chilling plot that suggested her murder may have been in the making for months — with a twist no one saw coming.
- Interviews in this episode include Laura Grillo’s sister, Liz Frogge; Laura’s best friend Heather Nabor-Grace; Rowlett, Texas, Police Department Detectives Jeff Freeman; Cruz Hernandez and Chris Sawyer; and Dallas County Assistant District Attorney Marissa Hatchet.
- Bad Romance returns for its second season Tuesday March 25th (10:01-11:00 p.m. EDT) on ABC, streaming the next day on Hulu.
