Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar Opens in Disney Springs

Disney Springs, while still months from being complete, has a new treasure in Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar!

The back story of the Hangar revolves around Jock Lindsey, Indiana Jones’ pilot from the opening of Raiders of the Lost Ark film.

As the tale is told, while helping Indiana Jones searching for the Fountain of Youth in 1938, Jock decided to make his home of this waterfront property in the 40s. Jock, a member of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers, often welcomed his globetrotting friends to his hangar for a drink and fun times.

Besides having some fun new glasses (soon to be in stock) and great food!

The Hanger has more to look at then can be done in one day.

After spending nearly two hours searching, I had found the two Star Wars references and at least one Jurassic Park reference.

But of course the Indiana Jones references are why you visit.

A themed bar at Downtown Disney/Disney Springs would be naked without at least one reference to the bar that paved the way: The Adventurers Club.

IMG_3181Although if you are looking for the Holy Grail of Easter eggs the lost and found area near the restrooms will be where you spend most of your time.

Many, I am sure, will look to compare this location with Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, which I think will be a pointless effort. Sam’s is a great tiki bar and the Hanger is more of a theme park bar — which is not a bad thing at all! I know whenever I am at Disney Springs I will stop in for a spell and enjoy it.
