“To infinity and beyond!” Disneyland Paris’ Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast is nearly ready to take off again as the extended major refurbishment to the ride is almost complete.
What’s Happening:
- The wait is nearly over as Disneyland Paris’ Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast prepares to welcome guests back for more galactic adventures.
- Today the resort shared a picture of the attraction exterior along with an update about the recent, major refurbishment.
- While the park is not quite ready to reopen, when it does, guests will be able to enjoy the Toy Story themed ride which now features new enhancements and other changes.
- As soon as Disneyland Paris reopens, Cast Members and Guests will (re)discover Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast in all its glory. Attraction update include:
- Complete re-painting
- Modernizing of the interior/exterior lighting effects
- Switching to LED lighting throughout the attraction
- Replacing interactive targets
- Creation of a new graphic design for the entrance of the ride
- Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast was originally slated to reopen in August 2020, but the refurbishment timeline had to be moved several times.
Did You Know?:
- The attraction originally opened at Disneyland Paris in 2006, replacing Le Visionarium (The Timekeeper) and is very similar to the Buzz Lightyear interactive shooting dark rides at Disney parks around the world, like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Walt Disney World, or Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters in Disneyland Park.
