New Episode of “Field Notes” Takes Us to Tokyo DisneySea to Check Out Electric Vehicles

The latest from the Disney Parks Field Notes series takes us over to Tokyo Disney Resort where we check out fuel-free vehicles and more being done around the resort as they focus on environmental initiatives.

What’s Happening:

  • Naoko and Takako from Tokyo Disney Resort’s Environmental Affairs team talk about how Tokyo Disney Resort is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with experiences such as the Big City Vehicles. All seven vehicles in the fleet are powered by electricity and provide a better Guest experience by not emitting exhaust fumes through the park.
  • Since the vehicles run quiet, they added engine noise to give it that turn-of-the-century feel.

  • In addition to solar panels being installed, Tokyo Disney Resort has also changed out its on-stage and backstage lighting to be LED including the lighting on Mount Prometheus!
  • If interested, you can learn more about Disney’s 2030 environmental goals.
