Imagineer Zach Riddley is showing off more of the progress of Cinderella Castle as we draw closer and closer to the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World.
What’s Happening:
- Walt Disney Imagineering Site Portfolio Executive Zach Riddley has taken to Instagram to show off more of the banners and bunting being installed on Cinderella Castle for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World celebration launching later this year.
- Riddley captioned his video: “More ribbons have been installed on Cinderella Castle this week and I just had to share a video captured during one of the installs. These fit just like a glass slipper…. And that’s no fairy tale – our team digitally modeled each turret on Cinderella Castle to achieve this perfect fit.”
- We’ve been at the park numerous times over again to see the progress on the castle, as it and the other park icons of the Walt Disney World resort are transformed into “Beacons of Magic”
- This isn’t the first time Riddley has given us updates on the transformation of the icons at the park, as he continuously posts about the additions to Cinderella Castle, as well as the new permanent lighting package coming to Spaceship Earth at EPCOT.
- October 1st 2021 kicks off the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, and is only the beginning of an 18-month long celebration. The kickoff of the event will also see the official opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT.
