- The theme park will remain closed until the state of emergency has been lifted, so there is no date known for the reopening at this time.
- The state of emergency for Osaka and Tokyo was declared on Friday, April 23 to help lower cases in what appears to be a new wave of infections. The state of emergency will start on Sunday, April 25.
- Universal Studios Japan will announce a reopening date once it has been decided after the state of emergency is lifted.
- Universal Studios Japan temporarily closed last year from February 29 through June 7, 2020, due to COVID-19 and reopened on June 8, 2020.
