If you like Disney Parks treats, Disney characters, and fun games, there has never been a more suitable app for you! The newly released app from Disney Interactive, Disney Dream Treats, is a new matching game that takes players on a journey through the Disney Parks to explore new foods, earn power-ups, and meet some of your favorite characters. Upon starting the game, you are able to either use a picture on your phone or take a new picture of yourself that it placed on an avatar. You can also customize other characters as your friends and even choose new outfits with Mickey Ears! Featuring 100 levels of puzzles and treats such as churros and Dole Whips, it’s sure to keep you entertained for hours!
Honestly, I’m all about these types of games, but they tend to get repetitive — you match three or more items together to progress throughout the game — but I can now say that this is so much more than match three and move on. On top of earning power-ups and being directed through the game from some of my favorite characters (including Mickey, Woody, and Ariel), you have different tasks and it’s not all about matching the desserts until they’re gone. You have certain tasks such as feeding different guests their requested treat, getting rid of all the wrappers on the table, opening dessert boxes and more.
I was also a little hesitant because, true to form with a lot of these games, you have to buy extra lives, powers ups and other things to make the game complete. While initially the app is free, I don’t love it when you have to buy the add-ons to complete the game. Thankfully, I can happily report this is NOT the case for this game. You are given five lives for every thirty minutes you play and, if you run out of lives, the clock will let you know how much more time you have until you can play again. Something else that I really, really enjoyed was when you pass certain designated levels, the character helping with you that level will take a picture with your avatar and gives you the option to share it on social media or download it to your device that you can share for later.
I absolutely loved this game! With so many stand out features that make it different from other games of this same caliber, this is one you will not want to pass up on. The best part?
