As any good die hard WDW fan should be, I am a huge fan of the Sci-Fi Dine-In at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I can recall my first trip there in 1996 and how much fun it was to sit in the “classic cars” and snack on popcorn while watching the bad B-Movie trailers and cartoons while waiting for your burger and milkshake. Sure the popcorn is gone and the menu has changed more times than I can count, but it is still one of my favorite places to enjoy a meal anywhere on Walt Disney World property. For those of you that can never get enough of a good thing, starting November 1st, the Sci-Fi Dine-In has now expanded to a full day dining option starving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast had been tested the past two years at Star Wars Weekends as the Galactic Breakfast that included a different film and Star Wars characters, but this is just the breakfast now.If you are not a fan of the Sci-Fi Dine-In, this may not be the breakfast you are looking for. With essentially the same menu offerings as the Galactic Breakfast, the biggest difference is the fact it is still just the same film that has been playing there for the past (nearly) 25 years and at a much lower cost. For $23.99 per adult or $12.99 per child this set menu is about the same if you were to sit down for a non-character breakfast almost anywhere else on property but with less entertainment.Once seated you are given a pastry plate and drink. Same as across property, orders are taken while given time to select your breakfast choice. The breakfast comes with a choice of a fresh fruit or yogurt cup — both, again, very similar to any other restaurant on property, but good none the less. The plates are very large and tasty. I had the Brioche French Toast and my breakfast partner had the Steak and Eggs. Both were prepared perfectly and very filling with just the right amount of flavor and perfect temperature. Looking at the other options on the menu, it’s enough to make me want to visit again in the future and maybe even try to grab some of the Mickey waffles from the kids menu!As with any Disney Dinning experience reservations are always recommended. As popular as Sci-Fi is normally, adding a great breakfast to the mix will just make it more so. For more information and to make reservations be sure to visit the Walt Disney World reservation page.
