- Brockovich’s work twenty-five years ago, helped trigger a landmark $333 million settlement with the residents of Hinkley.
- During the one-hour primetime special, The Real Rebel: The Erin Brockovich Story, cameras follow Brockovich as she visits Hinkley for the first time in 10 years.
- The special will cover how the town is still reeling from the groundwater contamination and shows Brokovich as she reunites with residents she met when working on the case, who moved away to escape exposure to the tainted water supply.
