Now that longer days and starry nights are in full force, Dollywood is saluting the season with the return of their Summer Celebration. Guests visiting the resort will enjoy live entertainment, a new nighttime show and so much more.
What’s Happening:
- Plan for a sweet and special summer in the Smokies with Dollywood’s Summer Celebration!
- Taking place from June 25th-July 31st, the resort will offer guests plenty of exciting experiences with their Sweet Summer Nights, live entertainment and more.
- Dollywood’s Summer Celebration is a celebration of family fun and laughter at a place everyone loves and guests of all ages will delight in the unique offerings available this summer. Among the seasonal festivities are:
- Dollywood’s Sweet Summer Nights
- DJ Dance Parties
- Good Vibes and Forever Country Stage Shows
- Special Guest Entertainment
Dollywood’s Sweet Summer Nights:
- A multi-sensory drone light show that creates a symphony of light in the sky above the Pigeon Forge park.
- Intel Drone Light Shows plans to launch hundreds of drones each evening for a spectacular nighttime experience representing a true evolution in traditional theme park entertainment.
- The drone performance is integrated into a musically-choreographed fireworks show, creating a visual and audial event of epic proportions.
DJ Dance Parties:
- As part of the Sweet Summer Nights experience, a DJ and energetic dancers bring fun to the streets of Wildwood Grove during two dance parties that ensure every member of the family is on their feet.
- As the party nears its finale, the celebration takes to the sky as the drones launch into the air for an unforgettable end to the evening.
Stage Shows:
- Good Vibes begins June 25th at the Back Porch Theater and treats guests to a musical journey through the rhythms of classic and contemporary tunes.
- It’s about celebrating positivity, counting blessings, and simply enjoying life and happiness.
- Forever Country is currently playing at The Valley Theater and provides guests with an energetic look at the changing landscape of country music in the late 80s, 90s and early 2000s.
Imagination Playhouse
- It’s story time! The Imagination Playhouse will showcase three favorite books from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library:
- Coat of Many Colors
- Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon
- The Little Engine That Could
- Thanks to Penguin Books, guests can enjoy several decorative and interactive photo opportunities for children and their families in the lobby of the theater prior to each show.
Special Guest Entertainment:
- On Saturday, July 3rd and Sunday, July 4th, the park will host three musical shows at DP’s Celebrity Theater and Showstreet Palace Theater:
- Tennessee Air National Guard’s Band of the South (concert band)
- Blue Groove (jazz band)
- Full Throttle (rock group)
