Mashable is reporting that Batkid was supposed to appear at the Oscars, but that his segment got pulled at the last minute. Batkid, whose secret identity is Miles Scott, became a sensation as he lived his dream of being a superhero in San Francisco as part of his Make-A-Wish dream. The superhero montage, which was introduced by Chris Evans, was supposed to conclude with Batkid appearing on-stage. You can even see the words Batkid as part of the set. In lieu of being a part of Hollywood’s biggest night, the family was given a trip to Disneyland which was paid for by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. It is not known if Batkid’s absence has anything to do with Andrew Garfield not appearing at the ceremony despite being announced as a presenter.
