Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson Bringing Non-Scripted Hip-Hop Reality Series to ABC

Rapper and Producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson will reportedly bring a new non-scripted series to the Disney-owned ABC Network, according to Deadline.

What’s Happening:

Curtis Jackson (AKA 50 Cent) is working with ABC to bring a new non-scripted show to the Disney-owned network, Unrapped.
Jackson’s G-Unit Film & Television is working with the network, creating a show where celebrity contestants, coached by iconic hip-hop mentors go head-to-head in rap battles until a king or queen is crowned. Casting is reportedly underway for the new show.
Jackson isn’t new to the world of television, his first foray into reality television was with the SundanceTV reality series Dream School in 2013, which followed high school dropouts being taught by celebrities. More recently, he worked with ABC executive producing the drama, For Life, which was cancelled by the network after two seasons. The drama series is currently available elsewhere on the internet, with hopes for a third season if the series performs well on the Amazon-owned IMDb TV.
Unrapped is the latest endeavor for Jackson, with numerous projects at Starz, Peacock, and even a straight-to-series order for his Confessions of a Crime Queen at Discovery+.
