Today, Disney’s The Jungle Book open in theatres nationwide )and is currently commanding an impressive 94% on Rotten Tomatoes). Naturally this has led to director John Favreau popping up on many talk show couches and morning show sets to discuss the technological and emotional achievements of his film. This includes a recent extended chat with film critic Peter Travers.
In the interview, Favreau and Travers discuss many elements of the film including creating talking animals that were convincing, using puppets as stand-ins, and how to get a hold of Bill Murray. Take a look:
