Former Walt Disney World Leaders Phil Holmes, Trevor Larsen, Jim MacPhee, and Djuan Rivers have been honored with a window on Main Street, U.S.A., at Magic Kingdom.
What’s Happening:
- Jeff Vahle, president of the Walt Disney World Resort, shared photos from a morning celebration honoring former Walt Disney World Leaders Phil Holmes, Trevor Larsen, Jim MacPhee, and Djuan Rivers with a new window on Main Street, U.S.A.
- The window is for the Academy of Talent Education and Training – “Inspiring Success for a New Century,” and has the faculty as Phil Holmes – Operational Excellence, Trevor Larsen – Engineering Leadership, Jim MacPhee – Talent Development, and Djuan Rivers – International Operations.
- The new window can be found on the left-hand side of Main Street while walking toward the castle. You can find the window honoring former Walt Disney World president Meg Crofton right next to it.
- The windows on Main Street have been used as a way to honor those who built and made an impact at the resort throughout the years.
About Those Honored:
- Phil Holmes
- Phil started his career in 1971 delivering blueprints to construction sites throughout the Magic Kingdom Park. He held a number of roles including Attractions Host in Magic Kingdom Park and leadership roles in Bus Operations and Training and Development. A run of theme park openings followed, including EPCOT, Disney-MGM Studios, and Euro Disneyland.
- Phil was also at the helm of opening new experiences like New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- Trevor Larsen
- Trevor served as the EVP of Facilities and Ops Services for Disney Parks and Resorts worldwide, supporting safe and reliable sustainment of assets all around the world including at Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Shanghai Disney Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, and more.
- Trevor was also part of the design team for Tower of Terror, and the opening team for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park.
- Jim MacPhee
- Jim held different roles during his 42 years including helping with the creation of MyMagic+ and MagicBands as Vice President of Disney’s Next Generation Experiences, being the Vice President of Epcot during the 25th anniversary, and Senior Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer at Walt Disney World.
- Djuan Rivers
- Djuan’s 30-year career at Disney had seen him serve in general management roles at various Walt Disney World Resorts, Disney Cruise Line, and Downtown Disney before he became Vice President of Disney Vacation Club Hawaii.
- He served as the Vice President of Hotels and Business at Disneyland Paris for two years before returning to Walt Disney World as the Vice President of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a role he held for six years that included the addition of Pandora: The World of Avatar and new nighttime experiences.
