China regulators have reportedly shut down the DisneyLife service in their country. The program, which was a partnership with Alibaba provided Disney content to subscribers. Customers that had subscribed for the service are being given refunds.
This follows regulators shutting down Apple’s books and movies service earlier this month.
The timing of this development comes just under two months between Shanghai Disneyland is set to open which is a partnership between Disney and the Chinese government.
The DisneyLife service the United Kingdom is not affected and is still available for a monthly subscription.
