ESPN Signs Alex Smith as NFL Analyst

ESPN has signed Pro Bowl quarterback Alex Smith as a new NFL analyst for the network.

What’s Happening:

ESPN has announced the signing of 16-year NFL quarterback Alex Smith as a new NFL analyst.
Smith will appear on multiple shows including SportsCenter, Monday Night Countdown, and Sunday NFL Countdown.
Smith will also contribute to ESPN’s coverage of events such as Super Bowl LVI and the 2022 NFL Draft.
Smith had retired from the NFL in April, ending his 16-year career which started as the number one overall pick in the 2005 draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He went on to play for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2013-17 and then with the Washington Football Team from 2018-20.
