In the early morning of May 15th, crowds of guests started gathering near the newly revealed Town Center entrance for a brief opening ceremony before the mad rush to the new shops.
With over 20 new shopping locations and the addition of seven dining options, the expansion nearly doubles the size of Disney Springs. With both an indoor and outdoor area, there is plenty to enjoy and see at Town Center.Of course, the main draw for the Town Center are all the new stores including Under Armor with their Marvel section. For me, the highlights of this new area had to be the new dining options. Between The Daily Poutine and D-Luxe Burger, I was very happy to try all the amazing food… and then walk it off by strolling through the area. Even with Town Center being a great place during the day, the evening really brings the area to life. But, no matter day or night, one thing was for sure: Sprinkles would have a long line.If the line at Sprinkles is just too much for you or if you want something beyond amazing cupcakes then Amorette’s Patisserie is for you. The shop not only has a large selection of sweet treats it is also the place to go for custom cakes.
For those of you who were like me and would swing by Downtown Disney to stop at Earl of Sandwich or do last minute shopping, those days are gone. With over 100 shopping and dining locations now at Disney Springs, it has become practically a full day stop.
