People really like Spider-Man, as the trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home has broken the record for views within 24 hours with 355.5 million global views.
What’s Happening:
- Deadline has reported that the trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home has broken the record for most watched with 355.5 million global views within 24 hours, which topples the record held by Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame, which had 289 million views.
- The trailer debuted during opening night of CinemaCon 2021 in Las Vegas during Sony Pictures Entertainment’s presentation while also being revealed on YouTube at the same time.
- The teaser shows Peter dealing with the fact that his secret identity has been revealed to the world and we see him go to Doctor Strange for help. When Peter has second thoughts about a spell that erases everyone’s memory of him being Spider-Man, he seemingly causes a disruption that spins out into the multiverse.
- As with the previous Spider-Man MCU films, the third movie will be a joint production between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures.
Spider-Man: No Way Home swings into theaters on December 17, 2021.
