During Gamecom’s Opening Night Live event, a new trailer was released for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, along with a new release date of Spring 2022.
What’s Happening:
- Gamecom’s Opening Night Live has been broadcasting live today, showing video game trailers and premieres, including a new look at a LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
- The release date of Spring 2022 was also shared, which is yet again another delay from the game’s previous 2021 release date.
- First announced in 2019, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been hit with many delays, first slated to release in early 2020, moving to late 2020, then 2021, and now Spring 2022.
- The video game series launched in 2005 with LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game and the last entry was 2016’s LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so to say it’s been a while since we got a LEGO Star Wars entry is an understatement.
- LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (the sixth entry in the LEGO Star Wars game series) is being published through Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
