Marvel Music/Hollywood Records has released the score soundtrack from Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings two days ahead of the film’s theatrical release.
What’s Happening:
- Marvel fans can get an auditory peek at Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings with the Original Score Soundtrack from Marvel Music/Hollywood Records.
- The digital release includes 25 tracks from composer Joel P. West, whose past work has included Just Mercy, Short Term 12, and Chef’s Table.
- West is also a member of two bands, The Tree Ring and Flood Coats.
- His themes for Shang-Chi blend together the methodologies of both Chinese and Western music and uses tanggu drum performances.
- The score was recorded with a 70-piece orchestra and a traditional Chinese music ensemble at Abbey Road studios in London under the direction of conductor Gavin Greenaway.
- Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings debuts exclusively in theaters on Friday, September 3rd.
- Marvel fans should also be on the lookout for Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings: The Album featuring songs from the film, coming September 3rd on Interscope Records.
