On August 12th, Disney’s Pete’s Dragon will open in theatres and the film’s soundtrack will hit store shelves — and, of course, iTunes. Today, Walt Disney Records released a new look at the score of Pete’s Dragon, composed by Daniel Hart (who’s worked with artists like The Polyphonic Spree and St. Vincent) that also showcases violinist Lindsey Stirling as she adds her contribution to the film’s music:
The album will also include three original songs written for the film including the end credit track “Something Wild” by Lindsey Stirling featuring Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, “Nobody Knows” performed by the Lumineers, plus “The Dragon Song” performed by Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy.
