ESPN’s Fantasy Football App Experiences Tech Issues During First Regular Season Game Day

It may have been exciting day for football fans as the NFL held it’s first games of the regular season today, but many fantasy football players found themselves frustrated with ESPN. That’s because, as CNNMoney reports, the Disney-owned network’s app dedicated to the fast-growing pastime of fantasy football crashed and experienced a number of other tech issues throughout game day.

From CNNMoney:

ESPN boasts what it says is the most widely used fantasy football site in the country. The company said in October of last year that the app had about 7.1 million unique users. Last month, it announced that during a period of less than two days, as its first televised fantasy football marathon event occurred, 1.7 million teams were drafted.

At this time it’s unclear if the app is back to functioning at 100%.

UPDATE: ESPN now says the app has been restored:
