As The View celebrates the start of it’s 25th anniversary season, the show has debuted a new theme song performed by superstars Brandy and Nicole Scherzinger.
What’s Happening:
- Today live on The View, the talk show debuted its new theme song, “For My Girls” featuring the singing talents of Brandy and Nicole Scherzinger. The addition of the song is part of The View’s ongoing celebration of season 25.
- The song was written by longtime friend of The View, Diane Warren, whose music has been part of the show since its 20th season. Warren wrote the previous theme “World’s Gone Crazy,” performed by Mary J. Blige.
- While only a portion of “For My Girls” can be heard on the show, the full song is slated to be released by Hollywood Records next month and will be available from all digital partners.
- If you missed today’s show, you can hear part of the song playing about 50 seconds into the The View podcast (September 30th episode).
Did You Know?:
- Brandy, one of the stars of ABC’s upcoming series Queens. Her participation in “For My Girls” is a reunion of sorts with The View’s moderator Whoopi Goldberg as both women starred in the 1997 live-action Cinderella! Brandy played the titular role and Goldberg starred as Queen Constantina.
- Nicole Scherzinger rose to fame with The Pussycat Dolls and will next be seen in Annie Live!
