Actor Alan Thicke, best known for his role on ABC’s Growing Pains, has passed away at the age of 69. According to reports, Thicke suffered a heart attack while playing hockey with his son.
As the patriarch of the Seaver family on the long-running sitcom Growing Pains, Thicke starred alongside Joanna Kerns, Kirk Cameron, Tracey Gold, and Jeremy Miller. Even after the show’s end in 1992, Thicke regularly appeared on other programs over the years, including being a running gag on How I Met Your Mother and recently making a cameo on Fuller House — a reboot of his old network mate Full House.
Thick was survived by his wife Tanya Callau and three children, including R&B/pop star Robin Thicke.
