In some interesting news from Reuters, The Walt Disney Company has inked a deal with Snapchat to create programs for the app. While Snapchat will host the content created by the company, Disney will be responsible for selling the ads that will run.
The first show to debut as part of this agreement will be “Watch Party: The Bachelor,” which will recap the hit ABC show. That show is set to arrive January 3rd, 2017. Other programming based on ABC on Freeform properties is expected to be announced at a later date.
“Earlier this year, we worked closely with Snap on a very successful The Oscars Live Story and we look forward to building on that relationship and providing Snapchat’s mobile-centric users with a unique, immersive experience around our shows and brands,” Disney-ABC Television executive John Frelinghuysen said in a statement.
