The Main Street Electrical Parade brought more than 600,000 twinkling lights and its infectious theme song to Disneyland. In honor of the return, Disneyland also rolled out some special foods that are, in their own way, just as magical and whimsical. For the premiere party on January 19th guests were treated to a few “secret” menu items, which may still be available if you ask.
Most of the new items are baked delicacies, available at Jolly Holiday Bakery or the Candy Palace. Some carry the Electrical Parade logo, and some are designed to resemble elements of the parade itself. Among the logo items to look for are PB&J éclairs, a drum cake, and tarts. Whimsical items include rice crispy treats and marshmallow pops, as well as macarons and cream puffs.
The secret item that was the hit of the night was the return of Fantasia ice cream. It was (and is!) available at the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. Other menu items that appeared at the Golden Horseshoe and Coke Corner are still there—if you know to ask.
