As frost warnings (yes actual real frost warnings) pop up around the country Central Florida continues to bask in the summertime heat…well not quite summertime – trust me I was there a couple of weeks ago and there’s already a BIG difference.
First things first lets talk tropics because after a strong start to the season things have slowed considerably. That said the water temperatures are still very warm and there are two disturbances to talk about. The one that is closest to Florida looks to get destroyed by a cold front in the coming day or so but there is another disturbance with a decent amount of spin to keep our eyes on as we head into the weekend. Most respectable models have the system turning north and then out to sea – we will just keep a watchful eye.
Anyway, a dewpoint in the mid 60s is quite comfortable compared to where we were even a week ago. That is what I was eluding to above – even though the temperatures are still going to be in the mid to upper 80s through the week you will notice less afternoon shower chances and lower humidity and that is ALL good by me. (Still plenty of beach time though.)
It looks to be pretty windy on Saturday and then temps will once more flirt with 90 to end out your weekend.
