ABC has just issued verdicts on three freshman series, granting second seasons to Designated Survivor and American Housewife while saying “goodbye” to Imaginary Mary. While the presidential drama Designated Survivor was always seen as a surefire hit, Housewife‘s success was more a surprise. Meanwhile, Imaginary Mary’s odd premise and midseason start made it hard to find an audience.
