Jennifer Carreras, former exec at 20th Century Fox Television, has been hired to be ABC’s VP of comedy. In this role, according to the Hollywood Reporter, she will oversee development of new comedies for the network. Carreras will be reteaming with ABC’s senior VP of comedy, Jamila Hunter, whom she previously worked with at 20th Century Fox. Hunter acknowledged this in a statement saying, “I’ve been fortunate enough to work with Jen for several years, both in my time as an executive at 20th and as a studio partner since I’ve been at ABC. She is incredibly smart, funny and collaborative, and I’m truly excited that she is joining our team.”
