Jaume Collet-Serra
Deadline is reporting that Jaume Collet-Serra is set to direct Jungle Cruise for Disney. The film is a live-action nod to the popular theme park ride. The studio is working with Dwayne Johnson, recently heard as Maui in Moana, on the project, who was was reportedly instramental in bringing Collet-Serra on-board. The director was previously attached to direct Warner Bros’ Suicide Squad 2.
Collet-Serra is best known for directing The Shallows, but he also directed two episodes of ABC’s The River.
No release date is set for the Jungle Cruise film.
