Next month, the Muppets will take the stage at the world famous Hollywood Bowl. Now Variety reports that they’ll be joined by a special guest to host the performance: Saturday Night Live alum Bobby Moynihan. In a statement, the comedian voiced his enthusiasm for the gig, saying “I am so wildly excited to host ‘The Muppets Take the Bowl‘ at the Hollywood Bowl. This is a dream come true. I have been a fan of the Muppets my entire life and to be part of this live show is mind blowing. I’ve never done anything like this before… for instance, why does Gonzo want me to get in a cannon filled with tapioca? The fans are in for a treat. It’s pure Muppet magic and joy.” Incidentally, Moynihan recently joined the Disney family, voicing Louie on Disney XD’s DuckTales. The Muppets Take the Bowl will debut on Friday, September 8th, at 8:00 p.m., followed by encore performances on Saturday, September 9th, at 8:00 p.m.and Sunday, September 10th, at 7:30 p.m.
