After SC6 anchor Jemele Hill called President Trump a white supremacist, ESPN released the following statement:
The comments on Twitter from Jemele Hill regarding the President do not represent the position of ESPN. We have addressed this with Jemele and she recognizes her actions were inappropriate.
UPDATE (9/14/17): Both ESPN and Hill have released new statements on the controversy. On Wednesday night, Hill tweeted:
ESPN’s statement read: “Jemele has a right to her personal opinions, but not to publicly share them on a platform that implies that she was in any way speaking on behalf of ESPN. She has acknowledged that her tweets crossed that line and has apologized for doing so. We accept her apology.”

It appears that no major disciplinary action was taken as she anchored her scheduled SportsCenter broadcast. In the past when an ESPN has made controversial statements, they were suspended and pulled from broadcasts.
