Photos / Video: A Christmas Fantasy Parade Returns to Disneyland Park for 2024 with a Number of Cuts

The long-running Christmas tradition is a little shorter than in years past.

The beloved fixture of Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, A Christmas Fantasy Parade, has made its seasonal debut. Sadly, this year’s parade sees a number of cuts from previous years. Let’s take a walk through what didn’t make it into this year’s parade.

The parade opens in much the same way as it has for many years now, with the ballerina atop a music box, followed by the iconic Toy Soldiers.

Mickey, Minnie and friends ride aboard a float detailing Santa’s Mail Room, however the number of elves dancing alongside the float has been greatly reduced.

The small book float welcoming guests to the Winter Wonderland section of the parade has been removed, with the loveable snowmen themselves leading off this section, followed by the snowflake skaters and Anna and Elsa.

The next two sections, the “Recipes for Gingerbread Treats” and “The Candlelight Christmas Ball” remain as they have been in seasons past.

Santa’s Toy Factory has seen the biggest removal this year, with the main float featuring Buzz Lightyear and the Green Army Men completely gone. This was the most recent new addition to the parade, way back in 2008. However, the smaller float carrying Buzz Lightyear in a spaceship atop toy blocks, which was missing from last year’s parade, has returned this year.

The parade comes to a close with the big arrival of Santa Claus and his jolly reindeer.

A Christmas Fantasy Parade runs daily through January 6th, 2025, as part of Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.
