Exclusive Reveal: Alamo Drafthouse Introduces “Mufasa: The Lion King” Hooded Blanket and Collectible Pin Set

Fans of The Lion King will want to make plans to see the upcoming live-action prequel, Mufasa: The Lion King, at Alamo Drafthouse – as they’ve got some fun branded items coming to locations nationwide.

What’s Happening:

  • In celebration of the release of Mufasa: The Lion King, Alamo Drafthouse will introduce an exclusive Mufasa: The Lion King Hooded Blanket as a ticket add-on.
  • This ultra-soft blanket, retailing for $25, is kid and adult-friendly, featuring a playful lion’s head hood, complete with paw pockets to keep hands snug. Plus, it transforms into a pillow when rolled up inside the hood, making it an ideal movie-night (or anytime!) companion.
  • This marks the first character to get the hooded blanket treatment from Alamo Drafthouse, but it certainly won’t be the last!

  • There will also be an exclusive Mufasa: The Lion King Pin Set available at AlamoMart.com and in theater lobbies beginning December 9th.

About Mufasa: The Lion King

  • The upcoming film will explore the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands. In it, Rafiki relays the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara (daughter of Simba and Nala).
  • Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka—the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destiny—their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a threatening and deadly foe.
