Disney’s El Capitan is celebrating the release of Mufasa: The Lion King with special screenings and a new light and projection curtain show.
What’s Happening:
- Tickets are now available for Mufasa: The Lion King at the El Capitan in Hollywood, CA.
- The Disney-owned theater will be showing the new live-action prequel in Dolby Vision 3D from December 20th through January 5th, which will feature a roaring light and projection curtain show prior to the film. The theater will also have special photo ops for fans to commemorate their experience.
- Tickets run $28 per adult and $25 per child or senior with daily showtimes at 9:30am, 12:45pm, 4:00pm, 7:15pm and 10:30pm.
- Thursday night premiere showings on December 19th include 4:00pm, 10:30pm.
- For groups of four, the Pride of Lions Pack is perfect for you! For $143, the pack includes 4 reserved seats, 4 popcorns and 4 fountain drinks.
- Additionally, the El Cap will host specialty screenings including:
- Sensory Inclusive Screenings (2D) – Monday December 30th at 7:15pm and Sunday January 5th at 12:45pm
- Open Caption Screenings (2D) – Thursday December 26th at 7:15pm and Saturday January 4th at 12:45pm
- Spanish Dubbed Screenings (2D) – Thursday January 2nd at 7:15pm and Sunday January 5th at 4pm

- For those wishing to be one of the first to head back to Pride Rock, El Capitan is hosting the Mufasa: The Lion King – Opening Night in Dolby Vision 3D event on December 19th at 7:15pm.
- For $43 per person, each event ticket includes a reserved seat, a collectible tin with popcorn, a fountain drink and an event credential.
