Emmy-winning actor Robert Guillaume, perhaps best known to Disney fans as the voice of Rafiki in The Lion King, has passed away after a battle with prostate cancer. He was 89. In addition to his now legendary role in The Lion King, Guillaume starred on several ABC shows including Soap, Benson, The Robert Guillaume Show, and Aaron Sorkin’s Sports Night in which he played the beloved boss Isaac Jaffe. Some of this other Disney credits include First Kid and Hollywood Picture’s Spy Hard.
Guillaume is survived by his wife Donna Brown Guillaume.
