Former Disney Channel star Caroline Sunshine has a new role these days, joining the White House press team as an assistant. As CNN reports, the Shake it Up actress has secured the position after previously interning for the White House. Lindsay Walters, a White House spokesperson, expanded on Sunshine’s political history, saying “Caroline Sunshine was a White House intern. In college, she was involved with the American Enterprise Institute and an active member of her school’s Model United Nations team. Prior to her internship at the White House, Caroline interned for the Office of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the College Republican National Committee and the California Republican Party.” On top of appearing as Tinka Hessenheffer on Disney Channel’s Shake it Up, Sunshine also lent her voice to an episode of Disney’s Fish Hooks and had a role in the 2010 film Marmaduke.
