After a year-and-a-half at Disney-ABC Television, Bruce Rosenblum will be departing The Walt Disney Company. This is a result of the recent restructuring of Disney that had many of his job’s functions transition from the Media Networks group to the Direct-to-Consumer and International segment. He had been Disney-ABC’s President of Business Operations.
Here is what Disney Media Networks Co-Chairman and President of Disney-ABC Television Ben Sherwood had to say:
“After a number of conversations about other possible roles within Disney ABC, I am sorry to share that Bruce has decided to depart the company at the end of May. I hope you’ll join me in saluting Bruce for the exceptional business acumen and television expertise he brought to our team, thanking him for his many contributions, and wishing him the best in his next endeavors.”
Rosenblum was brought to Disney after serving as head of the TV Academy as well having been at Warner Bros for several decades. Much of the non-creative functions such as distribution, ad sales, and licensing fell under his purview.
